Documenting Sub Voicive Poetry 1995

The first Sub Voicive Poetry performance of 1995 was 17 January 1995. It was scheduled to be a reading by Eric Mottram; but Eric died two days before, having been taken ill suddenly a few days before. The evening became a tribute with people reading poems by and or for him or speaking of him. Since then, during the week of his death, each year, there has been an Eric Mottram Memorial Reading without variation, except that in 1999 the memorial has been put back so that Jerome Rothenberg is able to give the memorial reading.

Please note that all numerically-stated dates on this website are in the format dd-mm-yy. From September 1999, months will be expressed as three-letter strings (Jan, Feb, Mar etc) to avoid confusion
