I am a solo and collaborative poet; sound & graphic artist; performer; and occasional story-writer. By trade, I have been an I.T. consultant; and teacher - Head of Academic Computing; previously Head of Media Studies; but just now I am a "Creative Research Fellow" at Goldsmiths College Department of Music in S E London

I made text-sound composition at Fylkingen in Stockholm for some years. I was a co-founder (with cris cheek and P C Fencott) of "jgjgjg" and worked with cheek and Erik Vonna-Michell in "Bang Crash Wallop" and other groupings. I worked with both and solo, making tape works, at West Square Studio and giving live performances. Subsequently, I worked with, firstly, Alice Blommor; and later with Lilian Ward, performing as "The Great Escapists".

In 1981, I had a solo exhibition at LYC Museum & Art Gallery (81 November 7; catalogue; LYC 1981) During the 1990s, I worked with the late Bob Cobbing, producing 12 publications, one of which is the 300 part ..Domestic Ambient Noise.., (1994 - 2000 Writers Forum). Throughout, I continued my solo practice I directed Sub Voicive Poetry readings from 1994-2005; and have been co-Chair of Writers Forum, publishing and workshops since Autumn 2002.

With Bob Cobbing, I co-edited Word Score Utterance Choreography in verbal and visual poetry, a major consideration of the performance of visual poetry; and On word: an anthology of contemporary poetry. [The latter was abandoned incomplete on Cobbing's death in 2002]

In recent years, I have been making multi-media pieces involving dance, film and electro-acoustic music, particularly with John Levack Drever
